Centenarians
In 2020 the State of Maine celebrated its Bicentennial. What started as a family dinner table conversation became a loose story pitch to Down East Magazine: photographing people who, as of 2020, were 100 years old and spent their whole lives in Maine. I traveled to all the corners of Maine for this assignment. The biggest thing I learned from working on this project is that the key to living for a century is maintaining a sense of humor.
